The initial OER resource library for the Department of English was created in 2021 in response to the growing cost of textbooks. This curated collection of resources, sample syllabi, and activities serves as a starting point for OER work in writing courses in the department.

This initial OER library includes:

  • An introduction to OER
  • Getting Started with OER
  • Connecting Courses with OER
  • Accessibility
  • Licensing
  • Annotated Syllabi (listed by course)
  • Curated Resources (listed by course)
  • Sample Activities and assignments (listed by course)

The resources here focus on ENA 101, ENG 101, ENG 102, ENG 103 and ENG 259 and were curated by Rochell Isaac, Lara Kattekola, Marisa A. Klages-Bombich, Evelyn Burg and J. Elizabeth Clark. Please use these resources and share your adaptations, remixes, and newly created material with us!
